Socks
The Seven Seas X Odd Pears
We’re super pumped to be releasing a brand new sock from our artist collaboration series. This time we had the chance to work with our buddy The Seven Seas aka Callum Addis, who is a Melbourne-based artist and creative. Callum’s practice is the definition of multidisciplinary. He’s grown from a background in graffiti to a place where painting, drawing, sculpture, and small press rest alongside each other. He’s recently made a foray into the abstract, creating large, flat-planed, wooden installations that are ethereal and sophisticated. We’re big fans and count ourselves pretty damn lucky to get him on...
Camille Walala: a powerful positivity purveyor
Camille Walala is a French-born artist based in East London whose work packs a seriously positive punch. If you haven’t encountered her yet, we might suggest that you’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere. No matter, you’re about to get a swift introduction. And don’t blame us if you suddenly feel inclined to cover every white wall in your life with punchy primaries and geometric shapes from now on!
After moving to London at the age of 23, Camille studied textiles at the University of Brighton. Her love affair with patterns and colour started here, where...
Adi Goodrich & Sean Pecknold make our hearts Sing-Sing with their combined studio work
Adi Goodrich and Sean Pecknold are Sing-Sing, a creative studio based in Chinatown, Los Angeles dabbling in animation, photography and design. The couple met on the set of a commercial project a few years ago. Sean is primarily an animator and Adi a set designer and photographer, so to say they complement each other in skill is an understatement. Add the bonus of compatibility in the lovin’ kinda...
We want to live in Eleonora Arosio's bright and cheeky coloured-pencil rendered world
Eleonora Arosio is an Italian illustrator whose work we’ve recently fallen head over socks for. She creates charming drawings full of heart and humour. With her coloured pencils and watercolours in hand, Eleonora makes the kind of work that just makes us feel all warm and fuzzy in our chest.
Eleonora has been drawing since she was a child, and went on to study Fine Arts in Milan. Spending a few years skipping around various mediums, she eventually settled on illustration as her primary focus. After graduating, Eleonora made her way to Melbourne for a little...
Nicolas Burrows made a new book about an elephant hotel and it's bonkers
Nicolas Burrows is an artist, illustrator, musician and member of Nous Vous, the close-knit art collective based in London. Usually he spends his time creating collages and drawings, skilfully comprised of various printmaking and assemblage techniques. Using bright, positive swaths of colour and super satisfyingly balanced semi-abstract compositions, Nicolas’ latest project has taken form in a brand new children’s book.
Close your eyes and imagine a hotel. Now, imagine that this hotel is specifically made to house elephants. Oh, and the hotel is owned and operated by elephants too. We’re fantasising about elephant-sized beds and room...
