Something about the excitement of our bright colours, bold patterns and, of course, the wild-card third sock is enough to get anyone a little kooky. Don’t believe us? Read on, because Wade Jeffree got on the case and created a delightfully weird collection of images to vouch for us on this one.
Wade is an Australian Designer and Art Director based in New York City who has made a solid name for himself in the last few years, making super inspiring and exciting work in the realms of branding, print and web. He prides himself on collaboration with his clients and peers, which exist within the fields of art, culture and commerce. From Nike to Uniqlo, The New York Times and Google, Wade’s resume is dripping with the Big Guns. So we were pretty damn chuffed when he jumped on board to shoot a campaign for us.
Using unexpected combinations and an incredibly soothing palette of pastels with pops of brights, Wade has created a collection of odd creatures, leading a strange and solitary life within their own dreamy world. Figures are draped in fabric, captured in their realm disguised by fabrics and textiles. The inhabitants are seen wearing extravagant headpieces made of socks, perched on a ladder and hiding beneath a sheet, and a hybrid human is shown, half person, half table with pears gripped in hand.
It’s total weirdness, and we’re totally in love.
