Forrest Aguar and Michelle Norris are Tropico Photo, a creative dream team out of Atlanta making some seriously head-turning work. The couple share a super strong eye for bold, graphic forms and colour, making for a blockbuster level of brightness and positivity whenever they join forces.
After meeting in photography class back at the University of Georgia, it took a few years of working independently before they decided to join forces, combining Forrest’s unique problem solving skills with Michelle’s knack for sourcing special props and items. Together, they dream up all sorts of amazing and creative photo shoots for their projects which span across the realms of advertising, editorial and travel. And just ‘cause they’re having fun doesn’t mean they’re messin’ around. They’ve already worked with heavy weight clients like Red Bull, The New York Times, CNN and Samsung!
Whether they’re shooting in impressive outdoor locations or in a studio complete with props, sets and lights, their work always carries a strong sense of geometry, line and colour. It’s all a lot of fun, with colourful facades in wild hues, models blending in with super bright and special locations and handmade props and sets. Every shot is a super explosion of colour that stops us in our tracks. And don’t even get us started on their travel photography! Road trips and visits to California, Morocco, Greece, Colombia and beyond make us wish we had Forrest and Michelle trailing us on all of our own adventures abroad!
