Friends; today is a good day. Last night Melbourne accessories label Witu launched their newest range COSMOS. With a delightful, tasty lookbook shot by another Melbourne yung-gun creative Sam Wong, they’ve been teasing us all over social media for the last week or so, dangling sneak peeks of their deluxe neoprene designs in front of our salivating gobs. We’re now very happy to finally be able to wipe the drool off our chins, sit back and experience the intergalactic-inspired collection in its entirety.
In case you’ve been living under a very large rock with no wifi, Witu is the brainchild of 20-something over-achieving Melbourne cool gals Elise Wilken and Natalie Turnbull. Since modestly starting the label with the mission to create the perfect everyday tote, their original neoprene designs have officially taken the capital cities of Australia (and the world) by storm. Since the birth of that first fateful tote, we’ve seen neoprene spun into backpacks, clutches, tech accessories and even bucket hats.
COSMOS sees the return of the classic tote and backpack designs, remixed in a natural, earthy colour palette. Teal, persian red, caramel, silver and dreamy deep blue tones dominate the range, with a very special addition of a galaxy spattered number. Some of our favourites include the jet black circular handbag that hangs off your arm like an eclipse, and the 3/4 circle clutches in a delightful waxy silver which are reminiscent of a mid-cycle moon. If you’re not feeling accessories, there’s subtle, fun branded tees and canvas totes available too!
Astronomer Carl Sagan once famously said, “the Cosmos is all that is or ever was or ever will be”. Carl, mate, we’re going to have to challenge you there. We’re predicting the COSMOS will be selling very fast so get on it while it’s available!
